Democratic Counselor Seeks Like-Minded Friend

My #1 favorite activity - TRAVEL!!! Some places I've traveled in my lifetime... Jamaica, Aruba, MOST of Europe - England, Denmark, Sweden, France, Belgium, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Yugoslavia, Italy, Spain, Germany (West and East), & Luxembourg. Favorite Hobby: Creating artwork, be it painting a portrait or taking a portrait with my camera. SERIOUS Interests: My CHILDREN are very interesting to me, so I would say they fall into the "interests" category...I love to spend real time with them as much as I possibly can. Favorite Time-waster: I love to sing, and have only learned in the last ten years that I am pretty good at it. There are over 4000 karaoke songs available on my karaoke system to sing on the stage in my basement. We have a blast down there and so do all my friends!! Other stuff about me... I was born in California, but was raised in SW Missouri, in the USA. I am planning to move with my children to Queensland, Australia in a year or so but I would like to make friends with people from the area before I get there. I'm looking for pen pals from that area and all over Oz. I use to teach fine art and computer technology in Missouri public schools, but I am now a (provisionally) licensed private practice counselor. I do divorce mediation for the court system, as well. One of the main reasons I plan to move to the Queensland area in a few years so that we can be near the Great Barrier Reef (we SCUBA dive when I'm near a reef), the great weather, and I love to be surrounded by a different sort of people...the more fun-lovin', laid back, accepting, NON-workaholic types you might find "down under". I would love to hear from people who love to share their wealth of knowledge of the country.
