Seeking Kindred Spirit

Hello there! I am a widowed single father with progressive values seeking the companionship of a like-minded female. I am open to forming friendships but my primary purpose for being on this site is to hopefully meet and date a wonderful lady with political and social views similar to mine. I am somewhat open-minded and nonjudgmental, but I find it easier to connect with progressive or liberal women due to my strong convictions on such topics as income inequality, collective bargaining rights,the environment, etc. I am not looking for a woman whose views are identical to mine, just similar. I live in a very conservative area of the country and I am weary of the intolerance and ignorance of most of the locals. As far as religion goes, I am open to meeting women from all different backgrounds. Christian, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Atheist, Agnostic......I am tolerant of almost all religious backgrounds or lack thereof. (Satanists, terrorists, and racists are not attractive to me though, sorry! Lol!) That being said, there is more to life than just politics and religion. I enjoy reading, sightseeing, hiking, camping, swimming, bicycling, going to nice restaraunts, moviegoing, playing boardgames, taking roadtrips with friends, etc.....I am even open to opera, ballet, going to concerts, dancing. I am up for all kinds of good clean (and semi-clean!)fun. By the way, it should be noted that I am not a felon, a mooch, or a deadbeat. Also, I have a very decent job, my own apartment, and my own vehicle. If we decide to go on a date, I will gladly foot the bill. If we decide just to meet and keep it on a friendship-type basis, then I will still foot the bill or at least pay my own way. Another few tidbits of info about me: Favorite type of music? Anything with guitar or piano playing in it. Prefer rock and classical, but some hip hop and country music fine too. Favorite sports team? Dallas Mavericks! Favorite movie? A Time To Kill. Favorite tv shows? Anything on HBO/MSNBC.
