Intelligent conversation is a huge turn-on for me. I'm serious about my religion (Wicca) and my politics (Democratic), but am capable of respecting those who differ from me. I love to travel, exploring museums and bookstores. History is one of my passions, particularly early America and the ancient world of the classics -- Greece, Rome and particularly the British Isles. I'm passionate and affectionate, with red hair, green eyes, an infectious laugh and a colorful personal style. If you're allergic to cats you may wish to skip to the next person -- I have four of them. I have a work-from-home job in Web content, and I travel for work frequently. I read mysteries, historical fiction, classics, history, psychology, and books relating to Wicca and Pagan religion. I also like certain fantasy and science fiction books although not the kind where everyone's name has apostrophes and you need an org chart to keep the characters straight. Movies I like: Keeping Mum, Star Wars, Gladiator, Elizabeth, The Queen, The Golden Compass, M*A*S*H, Room With a View. Not a huge anime or cartoon fan although good writing and strong characters can draw me into almost anything. I listen to: Loud Irish punk, progressive rock, baroque, medieval and Renaissance. If I could only listen to one artist for the rest of my life it would be Warren Zevon. Food: Italian, sushi, chocolate, Indian, but also like a good steak. On a typical Friday night I am hanging with friends (perhaps playing Magic: The Gathering, maybe seeing a movie or show). I am monogamous and loyal. I have a hereditary condition which means that I am fat and likely to remain so, and while I like walking and swimming, I'm probably not a good companion for strenuous outdoor exercise. Turn-ons: Beards, glasses, intelligent conversation, kindness, silliness, fondness for animals, a well-written profile with at least most of the words spelled right.
